About our school experience
The role of a teacher is a highly complex one. Thamesmead SCITT School Experience Programme offers you the chance to find out about the roles and responsibilities of a teacher and to help you answer any questions you may have about the profession as a whole.
During your day you will have the opportunity to observe teaching and pastoral work, and to talk to teachers and students about day to day life in school.
You will get the chance to see a range of different lessons being taught. Whilst your experience will focus on observation, we may be able to give you the chance to plan and deliver part or all of a lesson, depending on how many days you spend with us and whether you are making an application to us.
General Information
Start/Finish Times: 08.40 - 2.30 (flexible)
Dress Code: Business dress, cover up tattoos, remove piercings
DBS: Not required, as candidates will be accompanied at all times.
Availability: We offer school experience days across the academic year - please contact us directly about a suitable days for your to attend school.
Parking: Not available on site. Parking is available on the residential roadway adjacent to the school; please park considerably avoiding residential driveways.
